Anyone have any experience with these?

Ebay Item #320452785751

Ebay Item #110504397283

I'm all for spin and control, but is this a situation where I'm going to shred balls left and right? Are we putting professional tools in the hands of amateurs?

Doug,
I'm hoping these pictures will post?
I've been using the Hymec Backspin Tool for three or four years, I've only ever used one of the eight available square cut/box edges and as you can see from the close up maybe it's time I turned it round lol :o
This tool came with a spare cutting bit. The guy I spoke to was friendly and helpful, he actually sent me a spare tool for v grooves...it looks very similar to this one only is straight and the carbide tip is non replaceable.
Please forgive the poor phone pictures :-[

I have used one similar to the second ebay auction. Sometimes I have to use a broken piece of a hacksaw blade to sharpen grooves.

You've gotta be carefull not to force them too hard or you tend to push through the end of the groove !!!

Looks GD ugly, see attached photo, sorry photo large to upload (192k limit ?) , Mr Doug you're gonna hate me.

Anyway a set of Betti wedges with groove sharpener scratches straight across the toe black of the face.

Sold them straight off, couldn't look down at them without thinking TWAT.

Regards
T

Doug I would recommend the first one Very Highly.  The owner/creator of this tool is from my wifes hometown.  I have one and absolutely love it!   Makes the wedges like new!
