Jaws wedges
« on: March 29, 2010, 03:39:15 AM »
Anyone playing the newest wedge from Callaway?  I am planning on changing up my entire bag in the next few months and I am interested in thoughts on this wedge.  I love the look of them alot.

I have not been able to ever get Callaway wedges because they don't offer low bounce anything.  I am really surprised that Roger Cleveland is associated with to little options when Cleveland Golf offers the most...

If I were you Kyle, I would either go Vokey or Cleveland... IMO it's coin flip between the 2...

Cleveland Golf has only just started so many bounce options.  I think that Roger left in 2001, and since then Cleveland golf has offered more bounce options.  Some club builders believe that the average golfers need more bounce.
Your "average" player would most likely dig too much with a small degree of bounce and the more narrow sole that the Jaws wedges have.   You may be suprised what the proper bounce could do for you!

I did not realize that... since I am only wedge aware starting maybe 2006... before that I didn't know my bounce from my bum.  I could have used more bounce when I was in Florida on vacation... but where I am in Rockland NY... bounce can and does kill...  you have me thinking I should pick up a set of mid-bounce for travel... great... one more thing to buy...  Tanks Fur Nuttin!

Spend your money with a good short game Pro, he'll teach you have to pinch the ball off dead-pan lies and almost lift it off lush moss-like turf, saves on garage space too.
