Wedges - USOpen - High Scores
« on: June 21, 2010, 10:18:36 AM »
Is it just me or did the new grooves have the desired effect this week at the Open. I didn't see much of the telecast but I saw enough shots around the green to think the boys were missing their old wedges. Especially Tiger.

The greens at Pebble were just way to fast. The slopes were already severe enough, mowing it shorter, adding tightly mown collection areas, and hard greens. They might have missed their wedges. Their irons seemed to work fine out of the fescue let alone the rough. No one could get a feel on the greens except the winner. He was number 1 in putting... Thats what it takes to win at Pebble and on Poanna in my opinion.
